Description
Walter S. Hartley (1927-2016), whose works for saxophone and low brass significantly expanded the repertoire available for those instruments, composed the Double Quartet for Saxophones and Brass in 1994. The work is divided into four movements: 1. Allegro 2. Andante 3. Allegro scherzando 4. Sherburne and Judea. Instrumentation: Saxophone Quartet (SATB) and Brass Quartet (Tpt, Hn, Tbn, and Tuba).
