About this collection
Strictly Strings Sheet Music
Strictly Strings is a beginner-friendly method series designed to build foundational skills across the entire string family. Created by Jacquelyn Dillon and John O'Reilly, these books guide violin, viola, cello, and bass students through essential techniques and repertoire. The series pairs traditional masterwork arrangements with contemporary pop selections, keeping young musicians engaged while they develop proper playing habits.
Who it's for
- String teachers launching beginner programs with multiple instruments
- Private instructors teaching violin, viola, cello, or bass to young students
- School music directors building string ensemble foundations
What's inside
- Method books for violin, viola, cello, and bass across three progressive levels
- Masterwork arrangements and pop selections in each book
- Accompanied CD and digital download options for practice and reference
- Strictly Classics spinoff series for additional repertoire choices
Things to consider
Start with Book 1 for your instrument to establish fundamentals, then move sequentially through Books 2 and 3 as students master each level. The CD and digital downloads provide accompaniment playback for home practice, which reinforces rhythm and intonation work between lessons. If you're teaching multiple string instruments, each instrument has its own part book, so students aren't reading transposed parts meant for a different voice.
