Description
Camille Saint-Saëns (1835-1921) wrote many chamber works for wind instruments in an effort to increase the sparse repertoire. His CAVATINE, Op. 144 (1915) constituted his single foray for the trombone, though the brilliant work shows that he clearly had a great feel for the instrument. Showing the instruments lyrical and romantic side, this early solo work for the instrument is a wonderful addition to any recital or concert.
