Getting Started

To access SI Online, visit sionline.alfred.com, where you'll be prompted to enter the 5-digit product number located above the barcode on the back of your Sound Innovations book (either the lower left or lower right corner). Click "GO," and a comprehensive menu of audio, video, and PDF files for your book will appear!

Once you've accessed your book, cookies on your computer will remember it , so you won't need to re-enter the number on that device. If you're using a different device, you'll re-enter the product number. Want to add more Sound Innovations books to your SI Online digital library? Click the green "Activate Product" button at the top of the page.

Powerful Practice Tools

Click on any level to explore what's available, or use the icons at the top to filter by audio, videos, or PDFs. Simply select what you want to view or play to access the exercise.

Both video and audio tracks offer fantastic practice features:

• Speed Adjustment: Slow down challenging passages or speed them up for performance tempo by clicking on the three dots on the right of the track and selecting your desired speed.
• Looping: Master difficult sections by looping them. Click the Advanced icon on the left to open the menu. Set your "In" point, then your "Out" point, and press play to loop that specific section.

Expand Your Curriculum with Exclusive Content

SI Online isn't just about what's in the book! For Book 1, you'll find additional songs not included in the printed material, like duets and ensembles, as well as alternate tunes to provide more reinforcement of new concepts. These alternate tunes are carefully correlated to the book's levels, ensuring they only cover notes and techniques learned up to that point. Look for songs labeled "Alternate Tunes for Line XX." Tired of “Hot Cross Buns”? You can have your students play any of the seven other songs either in class or at home.

SI Online Teacher Tools: Streamline Your Teaching

Comprehensive Access and Printing When you visit sionline.alfred.com, enter the teacher score item number instead of a student book number. Click "GO," and you'll unlock a menu of teacher tools. This includes the ability to:

• Access and print full-page PDFs of every alternate tune and enrichment topic in batches. You can print by instrument (all enrichment pages for a single instrument grouped together) or by topic (all of the same exercises grouped together).
• Access and print score pages for the full ensemble pieces in the book.

Sharing with Students Need to share a specific exercise? Access any individual student book by clicking on the Select a product drop-down menu in the upper right corner. From there, navigate to any video, track, or PDF, then click the Share button in the upper right to copy the link. That direct link bypasses the "Activate Product" screen, giving your students instant access.
