Congratulations to the 2019 Best Communities for Music Education

Congratulations to the 623 school districts and 98 schools on their national recognition for supporting music education as part of their core curriculum! Presented by The NAMM Foundation , the Best Communities for Music Education (BCME) and SupportMusic Merit Award (SMMA) award programs acknowledge and celebrate the efforts by teachers, administrators, parents, students, and community leaders who have made music education part of a well-rounded education.

Now in its 20th year, the BCME Award for school districts and the SMMA Award for individual schools offer opportunities to increase awareness, shine a spotlight on communities, and give support for music programs. We continue to be inspired by the districts and schools who demonstrate an exceptionally high commitment and consistent access to music education.
