Nathan Farrell
Nathan Farrell is a distinguished composer and music educator with nearly 30 years of classroom experience. Known for his quirky and creative teaching style, he brings unique energy to his band and choral compositions, published by Curnow Music Press, Excelcia Music Publishing, The Salvation Army, and Alfred Music. Farrell studied composition under James Curnow at Asbury University and received his Master of Education degree from the University of South Florida. His concert works have earned recognition, including selection to the J.W. Pepper Editor’s Choice List, and his composition "Fanfare Brillante" was chosen as a test piece for the International Trombone Association quartet contest.
In addition to arranging and producing marching band shows, Farrell's marching band at Northside Christian School has won the Florida Marching Band Championships title nine times. He is an active member of the Florida Bandmasters Association. He has been inducted into the Florida Marching Band Championship Hall of Fame, underscoring his significant contributions to music education and performance. Farrell’s innovative, engaging, and dynamic approach in the classroom is reflected in his compositions, making him a beloved figure among students and colleagues alike.
