
Katie O'Connor-Ballantyne
Katie O'Connor-Ballantyne is the author of Harmony Handbook (Alfred Music) and Finding Your Teacher Voice (Heritage Music Press), and composer of multiple choral works, published by Alfred Music and Heritage Music Press. Over the course of her multifaceted educational career, Katie has taught musicians of every age and stage, from elementary general music and piano students, to middle and high school choral singers, to undergraduate and adult aural skills and music theory students. Formerly an adjunct professor at Ithaca College's School of Music and Artistic Director of the Ithaca Children and Youth Chorus, Katie is an active guest conductor, adjudicator, choral clinician, and presenter at music education conferences and festivals around the United States. Ms. O'Connor-Ballantyne holds a BM in Music Education and Vocal Performance from Ithaca College, and an MA Chant and Ritual Song from the Irish World Academy of Music & Dance at the University of Limerick.
