The Alfred Cares initiative was established to support music education where and when it’s needed the most. Through Alfred Cares we:
We donate educational materials to support non-profit partners and music educators looking to launch new music education programs or grow existing programs. In the past year we’ve partnered with organizations like the ASCAP Foundation, VH1 Save the Music Foundation, The Guitar & Accessories Marketing Association (GAMA), Teaching Guitar Workshops, Melodic Connections, and several other organizations to help bring the joy of making music to thousands of students. For more information on how you can partner with Alfred Music please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
We provide professional development support for music educators through free clinics, workshops, and In-Service programs at events and in schools. Our top clinicians and authors travel around the country all year long to meet with music educators and share their knowledge and experience. To learn more about our In-Service program click here.
We participate in Music Education Advocacy efforts on the national, regional and local levels learning and sharing the most up to date and relevant information to help support music education programs across the country. We attend annual events like the NAMM Fly-In where we go to Washington DC and meet with our Congressional leaders to make sure they understand the importance of a well rounded education that includes music and that these programs are properly funded at the federal level. We develop products that support music education associations and organizations by giving back all or a part of proceeds and/or royalties on those products sales. Click here to see which products are giving back right now!
