This book and CD set features 16 original funk/fusion tunes by renowned Australian guitarist Peter O'Mara. Christian Lettner adds his ideas on musical interpretation to give the aspiring drummer an insight into the creative process. The book covers a variety of tempos and grooves, which are presented using a real rhythm section featuring Patrick Scales, Christian Lettner, and Peter O'Mara (from Klaus Doldinger's "Passport"). The first CD contains complete recordings of all instruments, and CD 2 omits all drum tracks so that you can play along with the rhythm section and create your own grooves. MIDI files of all compositions are included. This series also offers editions for guitar and bass, by Peter O'Mara and Patrick Scales. The books are fully compatible and can be used in a combo setting.
