AUX ÉTOILES (TO THE STARS), composed in 1874, is a short poem for orchestra by French composer Henri Duparc (1848-1933). He originally intended it for a three-movement work titled Poéme nocturne. Highly self-critical and suffering from a mental illness, Duparc later destroyed the latter two movements. He revised the piece in 1911. Instrumentation: 2.2.2.2: 2.0.0.0: Str (9.8.7.6.5 in set).
