Description
Written by Béla Bartók (1881-1945) in 1926, the Piano Concerto No. 1 was among several piano works to be composed following a three-year compositional dry spell. The work premiered on July 1, 1927, with Wilhelm Furtwängler conducting the International Society for Contemporary Music in Frankfurt, with the composer as soloist. Reprint edition. (24:00)
