Solo Drummin': Snare Drum Solo Book

These solos were written to help develop the basic technical skills of snare drumming as they are found in concert band and orchestral literature. Rudiments included are the standard rolls, flams, ruffs, and various single stroke techniques. Much emphasis has been placed upon providing opportunity for the development of musicianship through the observance of dynamics, accents, and nuance. Varied tone colors are introduced as the students is required to play on several areas of the drum, drum head, and even music stand.
