Description
This trio is written for three young French Horn players. They are based on two well-known American folk songs, AURA LEE and THE GLENDY BURKE. AURA LEE, first published in 1861, is an old serenade that was popular during the Civil War and was later used by barbershop quartets. THE GLENDY BURKE was written by Stephen Foster in honor of a steamship by that name.
