With the highly anticipated film release of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, Alfred debuts seven new arrangements of select songs from the film for concert band, jazz band, marching band, and orchestra.
"Alfred is excited to continue representing Warner Brothers and the composers Nicholas Hooper and John Williams in this wonderful series," said George Megaw, Belwin /Pop Concert Band Editor. With new titles arranged by popular Alfred/Belwin composers Michael Story, Victor López, Jack Bullock, and Jerry Brubaker, fans now have even more magical music to look forward to, including the first-ever jazz ensemble arrangement.
"As Harry Potter gets older in the storyline, the musical themes become more mature and exciting. These arrangements truly capture the energy and mystery of the film, are very true to the score, and are accessible to all difficulty levels," said Megaw. Perfect for school or community ensembles, these pieces arrive just in time for fall concerts.
Full titles from the new film include "Wizard Wheezes," "Farewell Aragog," "The Weasley Stomp," and titles featured in medleys include "The Story Begins," "The Slug Party," and "Journey to the Cave."
