Alfred Music Announces the Release of Volume I

LOS ANGELES, CA  -  Monday, October 28, 2013
Alfred Music announces that they now distribute Volume I , a collection of photography by music industry photographer, Rob Shanahan.

Volume I is a 224 page, hardcover collection that features photos of award-winning and groundbreaking artists such as Paul McCartney, Elton John, and Sara McLachlan. Quotes from rockers such as drummer Neil Peart of Rush, Edgar Winter, Billy Squier, Tommy Lee, and Joe Walsh are also included, along with a foreword by Beatles' drummer and musician, Ringo Starr.

"What I love about Rob's book is its incredible diversity," said Dave Black, Vice President and Editor and Chief of Alfred Music’s School and Church Team. "Rob gives us a look at everyone from Christina Aguilera to Peter Erskine to Natalie Cole to Tommy Lee. He captures musicians on stage, as well as in their more personal moments. And, all of his photos capture the incredible personalities that these individuals possess. This is a fantastic collection for photographers, musicians, and music lovers, alike."

Rob Shanahan is one of the world's most published photographers in the music industry. He is Ringo Starr's personal photographer and has been working closely with him since 2004, photographing and designing his tour books, DVDs, and records "Y-Not" and "Ringo 2012." In 2008, he accompanied Starr to Liverpool to document his return home and a string of performances in the "Liverpool--2008 City of Culture" festivities. Volume I is Shanahan's first published collection of music photographs.

Volume I is now available for $45.00 at music retail stores and at alfred.com.
