Alfred Music Publishing Congratulates the Winners of the 2013 Grammy® Awards

Alfred Music Publishing, the official print publisher of thousands of popular artists, congratulates the winners of the 2013 Grammy® Awards, including fun., Gotye, Carrie Underwood, and the Once original Broadway cast, producers, and writers. The New York-based indie pop group fun. won the Grammy awards for “Best New Artist” and “Song of the Year.” Their hit single “We Are Young” featuring Janelle Monáe reached number one on both the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and Digital Songs charts, as well as the UK Singles Chart. Alfred offers the sheet music for “We Are Young” arranged for piano, vocal, and guitar, as well as additional titles arranged for concert band, string orchestra, and choir.

Australian artist Gotye took home two Grammy awards including “Record of the Year” and “Best Pop Duo Performance” for the hit song, “Somebody That I Used to Know” featuring Kimbra. He won a third Grammy for his album, Making Mirrors, in the “Best Alternative Music Album” category. Carrie Underwood, the hit country singer, is a multi-award winning artist celebrating her most recent Grammy awards for “Best Country Solo Performance”and “Best Country Song” (Blown Away). The singer has gained much success since her win on the television hit series American Idol in 2006. To date, the singer has won seven Grammy Awards, including “Best New Artist” and “Best Female Country Vocal Performance.” Alfred offers the officially-licensed songbook to her latest album, Blown Away, as well as over a dozen other sheet music editions and arrangements.
