Alfred Music Publishing Provides New Classic Rock Ed. Series for Rock Camps and Schools
LOS ANGELES, CA

As the official music publisher of thousands of popular artists, songwriters, and composers, Alfred introduces its Rock Ed.: Classic Rock Volume 1
books, a novel series designed particularly for the growing number of rock camps and schools where students learn and perform in the context of a real rock group. With editions available for guitar, bass, keyboard, and drums, the books help create an authentic experience for students in such programs, allowing them the opportunity to learn and perform real classic rock songs.
This first release Rock Ed.: Classic Rock features full arrangements of “Communication Breakdown” (Led Zeppelin), “Gimme Some Lovin’” (The Spencer Davis Group) and “Money” (Pink Floyd), with full sound-alike recordings for practice. Printable vocal charts are also included, as well as Alfred’s new and exclusive TNT2 Custom Mix software. TNT2 provides a professional 6-channel mixer interface that allows musicians to create their own play-along mix, solo their own part so they can really hear what they need to play, loop sections, and even slow down or change keys – an especially useful feature for vocalists.
The Teacher Edition provides educators with a full rock score for each song, individual instrument-specific parts, lesson material, and full recordings.
As part of Alfred’s ongoing commitment to improving the environment, these books are printed on 100% recycled paper.
Alfred’s Rock Ed.: Classic Rock for Guitar, Bass, Keyboard, and Drums are now available for $14.99 each, with the Teacher Edition coming soon. The series can be found at music retail stores and at alfred.com.
