Alfred Music Publishing Announces 2012 Dealer Awards

LOS ANGELES, CA  -  Wednesday, February 20, 2013
Alfred Music Publishing, the leader of educational music products, announced the winners of the 2012 Alfred Premier Dealer Awards at the annual NAMM Show held in Anaheim, CA. The recipients of the awards were Gayle and Russ Beacock from Beacock Music and Lori Supinie from Senseney Music. These awards honor the dealers for building strong relationships with Alfred over the past year and achieving excellence in the music products industry.

Located in Vancouver, Washington, Beacock Music is the largest independent music store in the Pacific Northwest. It has been a family-owned company since they first opened in 1976. In addition to being very active within the dealer community, they maintain an interactive store environment and service hundreds of music students each week through their lesson program.

Beacock Music has a ton of contagious enthusiasm for music,” stated Janeen Apodaca, account representative at Alfred. “They have the enthusiasm to innovate and the enthusiasm to push boundaries. They have created a warm environment that invites their customers to stay and browse the store. Tracy, their print music manager, is energetic and always looking for ways to make her department more successful. Overall, Gayle and Russ have created the ultimate music store package.”

Founded in 1984 by a former music educator, Senseney Music strives to provide exceptional products and services to students, music teachers, amateur and hobbyist musicians. They have an extremely experienced staff that their customers count on for recommendations and information. In addition, they offer classes in all areas including piano, band, and string instruments, as well as rock band classes. They are active in servicing the schools in their areas on all levels and have sponsored a community band for the past 25 years.

Senseney Music is always looking to better their business and they are always open to partnering with us,” said Pam Hendricks, Director of Sales, Institutional Products at Alfred. “They participate every year in our VIP stocking plans, are a PIP dealer and carry all of our new issues. We do a piano clinic with them each year, and they feature Alfred on their choral reading sessions. Senseney exhibits at all of the Kansas area music conventions in addition to regional and national shows and prominently display Alfred products. Senseney is the kind of music store that most retailers strive to emulate with experienced staff, support for their community and good business practices.”

Alfred congratulates these two tremendous dealers and thanks them for being solid partners in music education.
