Updated Beginning Guitar for Adults Method Released by Alfred Music Publishing

LOS ANGELES, CA  -  Wednesday, August 01, 2012
Alfred Music Publishing, the world’s largest educational print music publisher since 1922, releases the updated version of Beginning Guitar for Adults, the fun and friendly step-by-step introduction to guitar with the adult learner in mind, by highly regarded guitar and bass instructor and performer, Nick Vecchio.

Revamped with a new look, Beginning Guitar for Adults was developed as a self-help book and as a method for use with an instructor. The book covers a wide variety of topics, including chords and songs in the styles of folk, reggae, rock, and blues. Lessons also cover how to effectively play chords, melodies, and strums with easy-to-read examples in standard music notation and TAB.

For first-time players and guitar hobbyists alike, the lessons are prefaced with several pages of instruction on the parts of the guitar, holding the guitar, left- and right-hand technique, and guitar strings and tuning. In addition, large diagrams and detailed photographs help accelerate the learning process. The included CD contains audio demonstrations of all the examples.

Author Nick Vecchio has been providing guitar and bass instruction since 1988. A graduate of the Berklee College of Music, Nick has been performing regularly since his late teens.

As part of Alfred’s ongoing commitment to improving the environment, the book is printed on 100% recycled paper.

Beginning Guitar for Adults Book & CD (00-40136) is now available for $19.99 at music retail stores and at alfred.com/guitar.
