Alfred Music Publishing Releases New Reproducible Rhythmic Reading Book

Alfred Music Publishing, the official print music publisher of thousands of popular artists, songwriters, and composers, releases Rhythm Workshop, a collection of 575 reproducible exercises designed to improve rhythmic reading skills, by renowned author, composer, clinician, and music expert Sally K. Albrecht.

Rhythm Workshop will encourage and enable students grades four and up to develop solid rhythmic reading skills. Featuring 100 pages of rhythm exercises in a variety of time signatures, new concepts are introduced and combined together to challenge and motivate students. The included Enhanced CD contains 100% reproducible PDF files of each page, plus 36 rhythm audio tracks in various musical styles and tempos, which can be used to accompany students as they clap, tap, play, or speak the rhythms. For teachers, directions and helpful tips on using the book with students are also included.

Throughout her career in music, Sally K. Albrecht has worked with literally thousands of teachers and students through choral honors and all-state festivals, conventions, and workshops in over 40 states, Canada, Singapore, and Australia. Perhaps most known for her work with choral movement, Albrecht has over 400 publications, songbooks, musicals, cantatas, and choral movement DVDs in print. Presently, Sally serves as Director of School Choral and Classroom Publications at Alfred Music Publishing.
