On the eve of the 40th
anniversary of the release of The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars
and the 50th
anniversary of The Beatles’ first recording at Abbey Road Studios, Alfred Music Publishing releases Abbey Road To Ziggy Stardust
by Ken Scott and Bobby Owsinski ($24.99, hardcover) with a very special event scheduled at the GRAMMY Museum, 800 West Olympic Blvd., Los Angeles, CA.
Reel to Reel: The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars, the D.A. Pennebaker documentary/concert film, which features David Bowie and his backing group, The Spiders from Mars, performing at the Hammersmith Odeon, July 3, 1973, will be screened. After the film, Ken Scott, who produced Bowie, will take the stage for a discussion, moderated by the Vice President of the GRAMMY Foundation and MusiCares, Scott Goldman.
Ziggy Stardust was David Bowie’s fifth album, co-produced by Bowie and Scott.
