Alfred Music Publishing proudly congratulates the winners of the 2011 MTV Music Video Awards, including Katy Perry who led with nine nominations, winning the “Video of the Year Award,” and bringing home a total of three Moonman trophies. The 2011 MTV VMAs, honoring the best in music videos, was held on August 28th at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles.
Katy Perry led the way with nine nominations, split between nods for “Firework,” “Teenage Dream,” “E.T.” and “Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.).” This year, the pop sensation took home the coveted “Video of the Year Award” for the hit song “Firework.” Additionally, Perry garnered “Best Special Effects” and “Best Collaboration” for the futuristic love tale, “E.T.” featuring Kanye West.
