Instrument Zoo! Reproducible Coloring Book Released by Alfred Music Publishing

LOS ANGELES, CA  -  Wednesday, July 06, 2011

Alfred Music Publishing, the world leader in educational print music publishing since 1922, is proud to announce the release of Instrument Zoo!, a unique way to introduce the world of music to students in grades K-4.

Students will be totally engaged with Instrument Zoo! as it contains 29 animated and adorable drawings of zoo animals playing various instruments, all with creative names such as “Lion on the Violin,” “Fly on the Flute,” “Moose on the Marimba,” “Hippo on the Harp,” “Toucan on the Trumpet,” and many more. Each drawing is accompanied by a descriptive page, including information such as the parts of the instrument, how it’s played, the sound it projects, and additional fun facts. From author Sally Albrecht and artists Charles Grace and Mitch Wyatt, the handbook is 100% reproducible, giving the right to make photocopies and display its contents on an electronic blackboard in the classroom and/or school website.

Instrument Zoo! includes an Enhanced CD, containing reproducible PDF files of all the drawings and information sheets in the book, as well as 60 audio tracks, with most instruments having 2-3 sound samples each. A complete listing of all the sound samples can be found at the beginning of the book.

As part of Alfred’s ongoing commitment to improving the environment, this songbook is printed on 100% recycled paper stock.

Instrument Zoo! (00-35860) is now available for $24.99 at music retail stores and at alfred.com/classroom.
