Piano Students Explore the World with Musical Snapshots, Books 2 and 3 from Alfred Music Publishing

Alfred Music Publishing, the leader in educational print music publishing since 1922, expands its Musical Snapshots series with two new books featuring original piano solos which portray music from around the world.

Musical Snapshots, Book 2 contains nine intermediate-level solos (including a suite of three movements) that give the developing piano player a musical tour of sites in Japan, Egypt, Hawaii, France, Scotland, Spain, and the United States. Piano students will discover the mysterious wonder of “Egyptian Pyramids,” the delicate beauty of “Cherry Blossoms in Osaka,” and the exotic Spanish scene in “Gypsy Guitars” and “Spanish Romance.”

Musical Snapshots, Book 3 includes nine intermediate- to late-intermediate-level solos (including a suite of three movements) which bring to life sites in Russia, Argentina, Ireland, Spain, Hungary, Samoa, and the United States. Piano students will follow the exciting rhythms of “Samoan Fire Dance,” imagine the grandeur of “A Russian Epic,” and explore the genres of jazz, ragtime, and blues in the “Jazzy American Suite.”
