Alfred Music Publishing, the leader in educational print music publishing since 1922, releases 50 Piano Classics, Volume 1 and Volume 2, a songbook series assembling 100 pieces by well-known composers.
50 Piano Classics, Volume 1 and Volume 2 songbooks contain original, non-simplified piano compositions from four stylistic periods (Baroque, Classical, Romantic, Contemporary) and ranging from intermediate to advanced levels of difficulty. To help in performance, editors E. L. Lancaster and Kenon D. Renfrow have realized ornaments and added editorial markings such as phrasing, expression marks, and dynamics where appropriate.
Volume 1 contains pieces from composers with last names that begin with the letters A-G, including Johann Sebastian Bach, Ludwig Van Beethoven, Johannes Brahms, and Frederic Chopin. Titles include: “Tango in D Major, Op. 165, No. 2” (Albeniz), “Clair de Lune” (Debussy), “Nocturne in B-Flat Major” (Field), “Notturno, Op. 54, No. 4” (Grieg), and many others.
Volume 2 contains pieces from composers with last names that begin with the letters H-Z, including George Frideric Handel, Franz Joseph Haydn, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, and Robert Schumann.
