Alfred Music Publishing takes learning music to a new level with the release of the world’s very first Enhanced Music e-books in Apple’s iBookstore, featuring the best-selling instructional method Alfred’s Kid’s Guitar Course, Volumes 1 & 2.

This new and enhanced format of music books allows users the ability to experience both audio and video embedded right into the book’s page on their iPad, iPhone or iPod touch with the touch of a finger. Instructional music books such as Alfred’s Kid’s Guitar Course, originally available in book, CD, and DVD combos, can now be learned in their entirety from anywhere, without the need for CD and DVD players to hear audio examples and learn from visual instruction.

“As the leader in educational music publishing, we’ve made it our duty to provide the world with the newest and most interactive ways to learn music,” commented Dan O’Toole, Alfred’s CIO. “And the iPad is the perfect platform for it.”

These enhanced music e-books are optimized for Apple’s iBooks app, which allows users to download and store a library of books with them on their iOS mobile device. iBooks will sync your current place in a book, along with any bookmarks, highlights and notes you have created, between copies of the same book on your iPad, iPhone or iPod touch.
