William Starr

Alfred Author-William Starr

A graduate of Eastman, William Starr has had an active life in music as a university violin professor, performer, conductor, author, and internationally-known Suzuki pedagogue, He was the first president of SAA, and the first board chairman of ISA. In 2004, he spent three weeks in Japan teaching, performing, and conducting in Tokyo, Nagoya, Osaka, and Matsumoto. His book 77 Variations on Suzuki Melodies, has been published in Japanese and is widely used there.
