Todd Parrish is the orchestra director and music theory instructor at Hickory High School in Chesapeake, Virginia, and he conducts the Bay Youth Concert Orchestra of Virginia. He received his Bachelor of Music Education from Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma and his Master of Music in Orchestral Conducting from The University of Arizona in Tucson. While at UA he served as the assistant conductor of the Arizona Symphony Orchestra and studied conducting with Jindong Cai.
Todd has also studied conducting at Conductors Guild workshops in Colorado and Illinois, the Conductors Institute of South Carolina, the Conductors Retreat in Maine, and the Institute Musical in Aix-en-Provence, France. As a violinist, he has studied both solo and chamber repertoire along with symphonic literature as a violinist and violist in the Quincy Symphony, Oklahoma Sinfonia, and the Arizona Symphony.
