Thomas LaJoie is currently the director of orchestras at Myers Park High
School and Butler High School in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg School system.
Mr. LaJoie is in his 12th year of teaching strings in the public school
system. He has served as conductor for the All-County Honors Orchestra
at CMS Celebration of the Arts, as an adjudicator in the South Carolina
Orchestra Festival, and as a clinician for the opening of school workshops
for CMS. He received his B.M. in Violin Performance from Winthrop College
and a Post-Baccalaureate degree from UNC Charlotte in Music Education.
