Ruth Siegler is a graduate of the Manhattan School of Music where she studied with the renowned violin pedagogue Raphael Bronstein. Before becoming a music teacher, Ruth spent many years working in the music business in New York City performing on violin and viola. In this capacity she played classical, jazz, and pops concerts in all the major venues. In addition, Ruth was involved in recording, church work and played in the pit orchestras for many Broadway shows.
After receiving a Masters degree in Music Education from Lehman College, Ruth got a job teaching strings and orchestra in the White Plains Public Schools. The desire to write musical arrangements developed from the need to provide for music for the student orchestras. These orchestras have provided Ruth with a canvas on which to create and fine tune all her arrangements.
