Ronald
Bennett has been teaching for fifty years. The experience gained in consistently
maintaining a large class of students has made him aware how busy the
students are these days. The most interested and talented students often
have to carefully plan to have the time to effectively practice. He has
devised teaching pieces for the elementary and intermediate student that
can be learned in a relatively short time. They provide a sense of accomplishment
that keeps the interest alive during those "plateau" periods
that occur in almost all students course of study.
In
2002, he was elected Teacher of the Year by the Texas Music Teachers Association,
an organization in which he currently serves as a trustee. He has presented
successful workshops and seminars over the years and is in demand as a
judge for all levels of piano competitions. His pieces are listed in the
National Federation of Music Clubs Festivals Bulletin 2008-2010 and he
has received favorable reviews in Clavier."
