Robert Kerr holds a Bachelor of Music from the North Carolina School
of the Arts, and a Master of Music from the University of Tulsa. He was
awarded a scholarship to study composition in Scotland with Ronald Stevenson.
He is the producer for the popular children's program The Cowboy Bob &
Buster Show, which airs weekdays on the PAX network, and he is an arranger
and composer for Dream Vision Studios in Winter Garden, Florida. He has
served on the faculty of Rollins College as a violin teacher, conductor,
and adjunct professor. He is a violinist in the Orlando Philharmonic and
the Bach Festival Orchestra. As a freelance composer, Robert has written
music for Universal Studios, NASA, Barney and the Walt Disney World Company,
and arranged for the Orlando Pops Orchestra.
Recently, Robert released an internationally distributed album, Portrait,
with colleague pianist Rick Silanskas, featuring Robert's violin solos
and orchestrations. He is also a member of the Emerald String Quartet,
which has performed in both Japan and Scotland. The group's first CD,
Celtic Threads, was recently released, featuring Robert's music.
