Reese Norris

A Mississippi native, J. Reese Norris is Director of Choirs at Hernando Middle School. Under his direction, the Hernando Singers have performed in Carnegie Hall and at the Mississippi ACDA State Convention, the Southern Division ADCA Convention, the ACDA National Conference for JH/MS and are four-time Grand Champions of the Ole Miss Choral Festival.

As co-founder and co-director of the Northwest Mississippi Youth Chorale and CoroRio, Reese has conducted several concert tours of Western Europe. Reese received degrees from Delta State University and Florida State University, and in 2005, he was named Delta State Music Alumnus of the Year. Reese has served as President of the JH Division of Mississippi MENC (NAfME), R & S Chair of Mississippi ACDA and Southern Division ACDA JH Honor Choir Chair and presently serves as Southern Division ACDA JH/MS R & S Chair and Mississippi’s ACDA President Elect. He has been honored to serve as a guest clinician and adjudicator. His compositions have been performed in concerts, festivals, competitions, and regional ACDA conventions.
