Peter Jancewicz has been a professional musician and teacher for over
20 years. A native of Canada, he holds a Masters Degree in
piano performance from McGill University in Montreal and a Doctor of Music
Degree from the University of Alberta. He has taught at Medicine
Hat College in Alberta, the University of Alberta and Alberta College.
An avid piano soloist and chamber ensemble performer, he also enjoys
the creative outlets of composition and writing. His first
book of music for piano, Notebook for Saint Nicholas, was published in
the fall of 1999 by Alfred.
In demand as an adjudicator at music festivals throughout western Canada
and as a clinician, he is currently the Piano Coordinator at the
Mount
Royal College Conservatory in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, where
he also teaches 30 private students. He is a member of the Alberta
Registered Music Teachers Association and serves as a board member and
teacher for the Calgary
Arts Summer School Association .
