Patrice Villines holds a bachelor's degree in music education from the University of Evansville, in Indiana, and a master's degree in music education from Indiana State University. She has been teaching vocal music at the elementary, middle school, and high school levels for 29 years. In that time, Patrice has been honored as the "Middle School Teacher of the Year" and been included in "Who's Who Among America's Teachers" multiple years. She was also selected by the United States Department of State to participate in the Fulbright Teacher Exchange program where she taught for an entire year in England.
In addition to her teaching accomplishments, Patrice has become a published lyricist. She writes with Mr. Tim Hayden, also an Alfred composer. Together, their music has been published for church choirs, church teaching programs for children, and school choirs. Their work has recently been recorded by three-time Grammy nominee, Oleta Adams. Patrice still performs as a mezzo-soprano.
