Mary Hauber originally wrote for Myklas Music Press and is now an Alfred author. Sister Mary, as her colleagues and students know her, has been a religious Sister for 45 years. She has taught piano for more than 40 years and currently teaches in the Waterloo-Cedar Falls area of Iowa. Her piano studio is called Music Students for a Better Tomorrow. She and her two student teachers work with approximately 60 students of all ages each week.
Sister Mary started composing for fun when she was a child and has continued to compose throughout her life. She loves to do one adventurous thing each year and encourages her students to do the same. Sister Mary's adventures have included riding an elephant, white-water rafting, dog sledding, flying a plane, walking on a glacier and wrestling a crocodile, to mention a few. She also enjoys more quiet moments that include reading and visiting with friends.
