Mary Ann Froehlich, DMA, CCLS, MT-BC, is music therapist-board
certified and a Suzuki music teacher, specializing in teaching children with special
needs. She is a contributor to journals and the author of eight other books, including
An Early Journey Home: Helping Dying Children and Grieving Families and
Music Therapy with Hospitalized Children: A Creative Arts Child Life Approach.
Her piano/harp arrangements are published as the Collages series (available
from Lyon & Healy West).
Dr. Froehlich has worked in hospitals, schools,
churches, and private practice. She has graduate degrees in piano and harp performance
and music education/music therapy, with a DMA from the University of Southern
California. As a certified child life specialist, she has worked with hospitalized
children and has a graduate degree in pastoral care from Fuller Theological Seminary.
