Marti Lantz is a native of Akron, Ohio and attended the University of
Akron as a piano performance major. She also sang with the university jazz
band and later with Fred Waring and The Pennsylvanians.
Mrs. Lantz has been composing since she was a child and had her first
choral work published as a senior in high school. She has written country
songs, a film score and has collaborated with her husband, David Lantz
III, on several choral works for school and church choirs.
Presently, Mrs. Lantz lives and performs in the Poconos Mountain area
of Pennsylvania where she is a keyboardist and vocalist with a resort band.
She also performs her own solo song and dance act. She is also an organist,
handbell director and piano teacher.
Mrs. Lantz is affiliated with the ASCAP and National Music Federation
organizations and has received numerous ASCAP awards for her work.
