Jonny Priano is an employee of the Wilmington Area School District, located in western Pennsylvania. Within the district, he leads four choirs at the high school and middle school levels while teaching three sections of general music. In addition, Jonny is the Assistant Marching Band Director as well as the Music Director and Pit Orchestra Conductor for Wilmington's spring musicals.
A native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Jonny earned a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education from Grove City College in 2007, and he graduated Cum Laude with High Honors in Music. His concentrated instrument was the piano and he also studied voice with choral director and compositional mentor Dr. Douglas A. Browne. Jonny has composed sacred and secular choral music for many choirs in P ennsylvania, including his own high school choirs. With a background in piano, voice, trombone, and trumpet, he has been involved in many theatrical productions as a member of the cast and pit. Jonny is a member of the Professional Core for the Mendelssohn Choir of Pittsburgh, performs with the Musician's Concert Band of Slippery Rock, PA, and sings with the gospel quartet, Greater Than Four.
