Howard Starks is a native of Erie, Pennsylvania and graduated
from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a B.S. in music education.
After serving in the United States Marine Corps as a Bandsman, he received
a Master of Sacred Music degree from the Southern Baptist Theological
Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. Mr. Starks is retired from serving as
a Minister of Music for various churches during the past 40 years. He
continues to direct handbell workshops and festivals and has numerous
handbell publications.
