Pianist
Fred Hughes has been performing and conducting workshops nationally and internationally
for over two decades. He is the musical supervisor and conductor for Cook, Dixon
and Young and also performs with his own trio. Hughes authored The Jazz Pianist:
Left Hand Voicings and Chord Theory for Warner Bros. Publications, now Alfred
Publishing, and has released three recordings as a bandleader including No
Turning Back (Summit Records). Mr. Hughes has conducted orchestras that include
the Cincinnati Pops and the Los Angles Philharmonic, and his arrangements can
be heard on the PBS Great Performances special Cook, Dixon and Young -Live
in Concert.
