David Hagy is the Music Director of the Salisbury (North Carolina) Symphony and the Orchestra Director at Wake Forest University. He has music directed over fifty musical theater productions in Indianapolis, Omaha, New Haven, Winston-Salem, and Salisbury, where he now lives. He has served as the Music Director of Omaha Area Youth Orchestras, the Western Massachusetts Youth Symphony, the Greensboro Symphony Youth Orchestra, and the Winston-Salem Youth Symphony. In addition, he has guest conducted a variety of orchestras, and in conjunction with his position at Wake Forest University he has taught two semesters in Venice with plans to teach another in the fall of 2012. A conducting student of Thomas Briccetti and Otto-Werner Mueller, he has a B.M. in Violin Performance from Indiana University and a D.M.A. in Orchestral Conducting from Yale University.
