A native of Southern California, Dana M. Harrison received her Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from California State University Northridge. In 2003 she received her Master's Degree in Education from California Lutheran University with an emphasis in Music.
While in graduate school, Dana maintained her position as Director of Vocal Music at Simi Valley High School in Southern California, building an award-winning program until her relocation to North Carolina in 2004. As director, the program expanded by forty percent with the addition of a Jazz Choir and music theater performance group, complimenting the existing Chamber Choir and Women's Ensemble. An accomplished classical vocalist, Dana has performed throughout Southern California and North Carolina as a soloist both in church and on the stage.
Dana began her career with Alfred Music Publishing in 1996 where her work ethic and knowledge of product led her from Customer Relations Representative to Marketing Director of Vocal Music and coordinator for international subpublishing contracts. Dana currently resides in Hampstead, NC with her husband and dogs. She now teaches middle school chorus, drama and music appreciation in New Hanover County.
