Carol Ponder, a professional performing artist for almost 40 years, became a Teaching
Artist in 1987 and Consultant in Education through the Arts in 1990. An award-winning artist
whose three CDs have garnered great critical acclaim, her arts in education clients include
The Kennedy Center, VSA arts International, the Montalvo Arts Center, and Lincoln Center Institute
among many others. She has written hundreds of arts integrated curricula and partnered for years
with both education and arts organizations to create strong, exciting and productive arts-integrated
programs. She was the lead author for the curriculum, Music from the Inside Out.
