Bob Burroughs is a graduate of Mars Hill College, holds a BME from Oklahoma Baptist University and a MCM with a double major in theory and composition from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
Bob has over 1,300 compositions published by a variety of publishers in the United States. He is a member of several professional organizations, and just was awarded the Hines Sims Award by the Baptist Church Music Conference, June, 2007.
Burroughs has served in a variety of positions in his life, ranging from being a minister of music, to University teaching in three schools, and was the director of the Church Music Department of the Florida Baptist Convention, Jacksonville, FL until his retirement in 2001. They now life in Greenville, SC, and are members of First Presbyterian Church but stays busy doing clinics, workshops and composer weekends.
