Ben works as a composer, pianist, vocal coach and musical director in
NYC. He holds a BM in Music Education from Ithaca College and a BFA in
Musical Theatre Writing from NYU. Ben is currently playing keyboards and
piano in the pits of the Broadway musicals Wicked, Avenue Q and Wonderful
Town. Other recent Broadway, Off-Broadway, and NYC credits include, Streakin',
The Gorey Details, I Sing, and various readings and workshops of new musical
theatre pieces. Ben plays auditions and does arranging, transcription,
and coaching work for many shows and actors. Ben also has played on several
albums and demos for pop/rock/theatre artists. Ben plays and teaches classes
at NYU's CAP 21 and Musical Theatre Writing Program. With his collaborator,
Sean McDaniel, he is developing Project Bluebook with Andrew Kato and
Raymond Shelton, and East River with Jamibeth Margolis, Joe Sustar, and
David Halstead.
